Darian Mensah and Luke Nickel each threw three touchdown passes as the Hurricanes scored on virtually every drive and shortened the fourth quarter. FAMU's only points came on a late 72-yard fumble return.

The 49ers scored 24 unanswered points after trailing 7-3 on Kyren Williams' early touchdown run, as Brock Purdy threw three scoring passes in a 27-7 rout. A third-quarter goal-line stand stuffed Matthew Stafford on a fourth-and-goal sneak from the 1, after which San Francisco answered with a 99-yard drive capped by Deebo Samuel's touchdown. Stafford finished with 155 yards and no touchdowns before being pulled, while Eddy Pineiro's 56-yard field goal after a forced fumble made it 27-7.

Villanova's only touchdown, a 65-yard catch-and-run by Ja'briel Mace that made it 17-10, was answered immediately, and the Cardinals pulled away with rushing scores from Braxton Jennings and Marquise Davis. The one-sided home opener after an early exchange of field goals produced a 46-point margin.

Backups Eli Holstein and Cole Geer kept scoring while Will Bettridge became the program's all-time leading scorer, and Justin Rowe returned an interception 50 yards for a late touchdown in the 59-3 rout. The Spartans managed only a 40-yard field goal.

Duke Scott scored on a 65-yard run on the first play of the Wolfpack's second drive and added a 7-yard touchdown as NC State piled up rushing scores before a lightning delay, then kept pouring it on behind CJ Bailey and Will Wilson. The defense never let the Spiders in the game.
