Welcome to Pigskin Classic! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pigskin Classic website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

By accessing or using Pigskin Classic, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service.

3. Description of Service

Pigskin Classic is a free, recreational football pick'em game where users predict outcomes of NFL and college football games. The Service includes:

• Making weekly picks for football games
• Viewing leaderboards and standings
• Participating in community discussions and comments
• Tracking personal and group performance

3.1 No Gambling or Prizes

Important: Pigskin Classic is operated purely for entertainment and recreational purposes. There are:

• No entry fees, subscription fees, or costs to participate
• No cash prizes, monetary rewards, or items of monetary value awarded
• No gambling or wagering of any kind
• Only bragging rights and friendly competition

3.2 Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
• Impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service
• Perform maintenance, updates, or improvements

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

• Distribute, sell, or license our content
• Reverse engineer or decompile any software
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

6.3 Third-Party Content

NFL team names, logos, and related indicia are trademarks of the NFL and its member teams. College team names and logos are trademarks of their respective institutions. Pigskin Classic is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL, NCAA, or any teams.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7.1 Third-Party Services

Pigskin Classic uses the following third-party services:

7.2 Parental Rights (COPPA Compliance)

If your child is under 13 and has created an account without permission, please contact us immediately at legal@pigskin-classic.com and we will delete the account.

Parents and guardians of users aged 13-17 may:

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIGSKIN CLASSIC AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD.

You acknowledge that Pigskin Classic is provided free of charge and these limitations of liability are a fundamental part of the agreement between you and Pigskin Classic.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pigskin Classic and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

10. Termination

10.2 Termination by Us

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to access the Service immediately ceases
• We may delete your account and data

11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

11.4 Time Limitation

Any claim or cause of action arising from these Terms or your use of the Service must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose, or it will be permanently barred.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the modified Terms.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pigskin Classic regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

12.5 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms at our discretion.

12.6 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

12.7 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, pandemics, or failures of telecommunications or internet infrastructure.
